Default Recommended seed/pellet brands available in Australia

Hi all, I'be been seeing certain brands of seed and pellets mentioned quite often but to date have had little to no luck finding those brands here in Australia. I've found a few places online but the cost of shipping is astronomical. Are there any other Australian members who can point me in the right direction, or who can give me the names of some good quality brands of seed mixes and pellets please?? I've found many brands, but I'm not familiar enough with it all to know if they're any good. Also, the seed mixes vary in their contents and I want to be sure I'm getting the very best. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Kellie,
I have been purchasing my Zupreem Roudybush and Harrisons pellets from Pet Shop Direct. I think sadly anywhere on line is going to have a shipping charge, and from all the sites I have tried they seem to be under $10 for shipping. They also have a good range of natural wood perches and other bird delights too... my pair are spoilt lol

Hi Donna and thank you for your reply. I am familiar with Pet Shop Direct and actually just placed an order for a few things last night. I ordered some of the fruity pellets, so I'm keen to see what my babies think of them. They're good eaters, so I think they should like them. Im lucky when it comes to perches as I live up the bush and have an endless supply of fresh branches from gum trees, eucalyptus leaves, pine cones etc. I'm currently hoping I'll be able to build a play gym from branches I've gathered (I've thoroughly cleaned them all of course). So far, it's not going to plan and has me pulling my hair out with frustration.

Thanks again for your help. I really appreciate it.

I also order harrisons pellets from Pet Shop Direct. My birds actually preferred them over the zupreem fruity pellets. It's a great website though, fast shipping and they usually include a chuppa chup with orders

Many pets stores also stock vetafarm pellets. I personally wouldn't recommend these as the protein is super high which may cause liver issues, and also my birds just never took to them.

Thank you for your reply. It sounds like petshopdirect is the way to go. I actually just got an email from them to say the order I placed last night is on its way, so that was fast! I ordered some of the Zupreem fruity pellets because from what I'd read around the forum, they seem to be preferred over the plain flavoured pellets. When I first got my birds, I got some Passwell crumbles. The pet warehouse I was at didn't have any of the brands I'd read about here, but they recommended the Passwell ones. My birds will nibble on them but only every once in awhile. I noticed that Petshopdirect have a lot of great stuff and their prices are good too, so I'll be spending a lot of time (& money) there I think.
