Question Eucalyptus

Hello, recently I found out that eucalyptus can be extremely beneficial for a budgie's health. I was wondering, do you think that if I was to get some eucalyptus from a grove near my house, clean of anything that seems unsafe and washed with steaming water, would it be safe to give to them? I know in the wild they eat it right off the tree but since I don't live in Australia and the ecosystem is different here in the northern hemisphere, I'd like to be as safe as possible.

I do not have the answer for the question, but I would like to see you get more replies to your question to be sure if it is safe. There are people on this site that know a lot about birds. Just be sure of safety before you give this to your birds.

As long as you are certain the eucalyptus has not been treated with chemicals and you clean it as you indicated, it will be fine to give it to them.
