Default Runny droppings

Hi, I'm back after years I think. I have one budgie he is 3 years old and his name is Joey. So the last couple of days he's been acting strange, not eating his seed but he is eating fruit sticks, millet and broccoli. His poo is runny and green but he is still active flying about and chirping[

If you give him the choice to eat millet, he is going to eat that instead of a high quality seed mix. Millet should be given as a treat or used as a training tool.

Depending on how much broccoli Joey is eating, that can make his droppings more runny and green.

Make sure he is getting a healthy diet at all times.
Fruit and fruit sticks are high in sugar content so keep those as a "treat" rather than a main portion of his meal. Ensure he gets a variety of vegetables, a quality seed mix and pellets.

If the runny droppings continue for more than a day or so, I'd suggest you take Joey into your Avian Vet for a check-up.

Best wishes!

So I took the millet away and Joey started eating his seed again, he's been eating it every day and his poo is looking more normal. Also he is more vocal, he's copying a whistle then adds a few more whistles on top 😁
Only problem is now he has stopped flying onto me 😞

Make sure that you give Joey pellets and vegetables in addition to his seed.

Seed should be limited to 1 1/2 to 2 teaspoons of seed per budgie per day.
