Default Sprouting seeds

Hello all at what point in sprouting seeds is a good time to feed? This is what my first batch looks like! (I want to try changing up their diet since they eat pellets and seeds only with the occasional lettuce here and there) thanks!

That looks great! Generally, as long as the seeds have sprouted some they should be fine, though there are exceptions with certain types of seeds/plants.

The sprouted seeds are ready to be served!
Let us know, in this thread, how your budgies like them.

Those look good!

I sprout everything, literally! lol. I have over 30 different kinds of seeds, legumes, grains....

After an 8-12 hour soak, the seeds are ready to be fed to your birds. Even though most seeds won't have a "tail" or sprout on them yet, the changes are already happening inside the seed. They are lower in fat, higher in protein, vitamins and minerals.

If you find that your birds won't eat the really sprouted stuff, then try feeding them right after they are done soaking. They will still be in their original seed form that they are familiar with.
