Default Twin beak aviary herb salad

Hi everyone,

I recently wanted to make my budgie Cutie's diet even more better, and strengthen her immune system so I am thinking of buying twin beaks avairy herb salad. But it contains garlic flakes so is it safe for budgies? it says its safe for budgies on the packet but I am not sure as I have read that garlic is not safe so please advise, if I should buy it or not

Thanks

Yes, it is safe, I offer it to my birds but only a couple of my birds will eat it. Buy the smallest package you can so if Cutie does not eat it you will not have too much waste. There are some large pieces of various things in it and at first my birds would not touch it so I took a handful of it and squashed it through a strainer so only the flakes of the various dried ingredients came through and they seem to take to that better.

As I've indicated in many posts throughout the forum, I give Herb Salad to all my birds on a daily basis.

It is a safe product and a good addition to their diet.

The garlic flakes are fine. When I first gave vegetables to a couple of my budgies, they would only eat them if they were sprinkled with a tiny bit of garlic powder (NOT garlic salt).
