Default Is there anything abnormal on her cere?

Hi my little budgie is a beautiful grown up female. Her cere is completely brown. Her color is deep brown but i it looks as over growing in the limits with the beak and kind of looks as if it were peeling.
Could you please guide me on this?
I would be pretty thankful

I can see what you mean and from that first picture it does seem your Ibi has a little overgrowth on her cere. At this point, there is not cause for concern and if there is not a progress in terms of growth, you can wait till Ibi comes out of breeding condition (when the cere reverts to the creamy white colour) to see if the growth goes down.

If you notice a progress in terms of growth, then booking your Ibi an appointment with an avian vet specialist would be the best thing to do.

Good luck!

I agree with Aluz, from the photos that you posted, her cere looks perfectly fine This dark colour and flakiness is normal.

Thank you !! You have been so helpful !!
I will keep an eye on her
Actually I have already scheduled a vet appointment for the first week of December. My budgies are growing beautifully.

The little male who had dark spots on his cere, had already disappeared and now his cere looks blue. His feathers have started growing too. They both have gained weight.

But Ibi needs a diet. I'm afraid she might get fat.

I will write a post about my male budgie. I have been trying to make a video.
I'm budgie mommy and love them so much

Thank so much ! You have gave me peace of mind!

I'm happy that both of my budgies are growing beautifully !

It is good to know that the dark colour and flakiness is normal. I thought that the flakiness could be a symptom of an illness as I have never seen it before, so then I thought I might ask in the most friendly budgie forum,Budgie Talk.

This forum have help me so much and each day I keep learning. Thank for all the support given !

My male budgie was a bit thin and his feathers weren't growing as expected. I bought him a protein and it worked and now he looks like a cotton ball. I'm so happy about that.

Ibi looks beautiful in the pictures.

Are you taking both budgies to the vet in December for a check-up?
Your vet can weigh them both at that time and let you know if they are at a good weight.

Thank you Faerybee !
Yes on December is their check- up!
I'm looking forward to that day !

Sometimes I weighted them at home. The 8th of November Bebito weight was 38grams while Ibi 48grams. I need to work on the diet. They are really picky. I tried with Harrison pellets but they love more seeds than that heheh they both love millet ! And gave them both a protein which help with feather's growing

I want them to be healthy so I know I have to work harder on the diet
