Unhappy Is My Budgie Dying And how can i comfort him

My budgie bob is 9 months old and he has been recently puffed up and sleepy, signs of illness. We went to the vet and she prescribed antibiotics to go in his water but i seriously think hes not gonna make it through the night, he has a heat source but is really puffed up and standing still blinking, i may also not that it is his usual bed time now but idk if hes dying or sleeping.

Was the vet you took him to an avian vet or an all creatures vet. I suggest you take him to an Avian vet immediately.

In that case I would say take him back to the all creatures vet and ask them to consult with an avian vet.

I'm so sorry for both you and Bob. He may be dying. I would cover his cage on three sides if there is light that might be bothering him. Only you know if he is tame enough that he would prefer to sit in your hands. He probably likes the sound of your voice in any case and you can talk to him some, quietly and soothingly.

Usually, antibiotics are given orally rather than in the water. The problem with them in the water is that you don't know how much the budgie is consuming. Some antibiotics can also be given by injection.

If he makes it through the night, then I would see if you could get him to an avian vet or get the vet you saw to consult with an avian vet.

I'm very sorry to hear Bob is so ill.
Leah has given you excellent advice.
If Bob makes it through the night, please either find an Avian Vet or take Bob to an Exotic Pet Veterinarian with experience in treating small birds to get the help Bob so desperately needs at this time.

Sending prayers for you and your little one.
Please be sure to update us with regard to his condition.
