Default What’s this on Tulip!?

So my 3 year old female budgie Tulip has been a bit under the weather, not whistling and her eyes are abit swollen. I gave her some anti biotics that the vet supplied and she perked up slightly but has recently gone back to been quiet. Then today I noticed this above her cere, it’s not very clear but it’s like a dry patchy growth, I’m worried sick it’s a tumour! I’ve already lost her brother to liver disease I can’t bare her been sick, any advise? Is she just moulting?

I'm sorry to hear Tulip has been poorly.

The patch above her cere does not look like normal molting and she needs to be seen by an Avian Veterinarian for a proper diagnosis and treatment plan. The sooner you see the vet with her, the better.

When you rely on anyone who has not had training in Avian diagnosis and care, you may be delaying effective treatment.
This can prolong suffering that may be avoidable.
The bird will often require a more intense, prolonged treatment with a poorer chance of full recovery than it would have if you seek prompt professional diagnosis and treatment at the first sign of illness.
