Default Can my birdie catch my cold (flu) ?

Hello to all , I want to start out by saying that Birdie is fine . And I want her to stay that way . I believe I've got the flu and really don't want to pass it on to her , if it's even possible for a Budgie to catch a human's cold (or flu) ? Any advice will be most welcome .

Awesome , Thank You !

Birdie loves to use me as her human perch and I was SO afraid of getting her sick that I haven't let her climb on me for a couple of days now .

No. Relax and take care of yourself. Some zoonotic (interspecies) diseases are Psittacosis, rabies, and salmonella, just to name a few. But it doesn’t include the common cold or flu in humans thankfully.
