Default Perch radius or thickness

I planning to get the budgies bamboo if I found or I am gonna have from these palms in the street. But how thick or how much the radius should be for them.

Budgies benefit from having perches of different thicknesses. It helps to exercise their feet. Just be sure you're using branches that haven't been sprayed with pesticides and wash all branches before using them.

Different textures and widths are a benefit from natural branches. They help keep the feet exercised and healthy. With the amount of variety being available from pet shops or online, I would opt for those instead of ones you find out in the street. You never know what toxins or mold is on it, even after washing, and you can’t always identify if it’s a bird safe wood, or if it’s been sprayed with pesticide.
