Unhappy My budgie is sick! HELP!

I came home from work today & my mother had informed me that my budgie didn't look too well. I went over and noticed that he was sitting on the entrance on the cage. He was puffed up and had his eyes closed. I immediately set up an appointment for tomorrow at 3:15pm, since I have to work. After I starting watching over him, he started having what looked like seizures. I called the avian vet to ask what to do and they said to just keep him warm & calm until they can see him tomorrow. The last bad seizure he had he bit his own tongue and started to bleed. I'm really desperate & feel like he's not going to make it. I feel so stressed seeing him like this. Is there anything else I can do? Does anyone have a clue what might be wrong with him?

Oh no , is there any way you can get into an emergency vet? he needs to be seen as soon as possible. Place him in a small hospital cage with a soft cloth on the bottom, take out any sharp or dangerous objects he could hurt himself on. Get so electrolyte type drink and give him via a eye dropper. Keep him warm as possible. I hope you manage to find an emergency vet .

Well it's almost midnight here so I don't think an avian vet is avaiable at this time I'm keeping him warm with my body temperature by keeping him next to me. I don't think I'll be sleeping tonight. Should I miss work & go as soon as they open? He's starting to move around & has opened his eyes & looks around. Although he's having a difficult time walking.

If it were me in your situation then yes I would. It is good you are keeping him close your heartbeat will be comforting to him. I did exactly the same with one of my babies I sat in up right all night holding him then got somebody to drive me to the vet first thing. Keep him comfortable and try to get him to drink if at all possible. If he is strong enough let him eat offer anything he likes millet, egg and biscuit mix. I am sending white healing thoughts to you and your little one.

Unfortunately my budgie has passed. He was strong enough to hold on this long. He was in my arms when it happened so he wasn't alone. I know for sure he's in a better place now & not suffering.

I'm so sorry to hear of your sweet budgie's passing. Sometimes a bird will seize when its blood pressure is low, and pass away soon thereafter. I'm glad you were there to comfort him.

R.I.P. Budgie.
