Hi, guys! I've had computer problems over the past 2 weeks and have finally pulled out my new computer that I bought in the US while visiting my family last summer! Now we're all set to go!
I hope that everyone has been doing well while I've been away!
Sammy has been getting used to his new Harrison's High Potency Mash. He didn't know how to eat it for a while, so I ended up mixing about a spoonful of seed into his mash. I know he was eating it because I'd see the dust from the food on the cage bars, but I never saw him... until this afternoon! He was eating his mash like a great little bird!
Now here's a question --- how do I "clean" his mash out now that he's eating it? It's not like you can just blow out the hulls like with seeds. Your room would be a mess!
We have to take him for a follow-up at the vet to see how he's doing, but (I'm afraid to jinx!
) he seems to be doing well with his new food!
He has a lot of energy (and is very amorous with his favorite toy) and still loves to get his 1 tbsp of seed mix every evening. We're hoping that this is the key to long-term health improvement!
He's eating more mash as I type this!
