Exclamation Sick budgie?

Ok so last night it was kind of cold in my room and it's a little chilly today so I just assumed that Astro was puffed up because of the cold, he's still eating and drinking normally. But then when I cleaned his paper and added new stuff, I noticed a yellowish light brown dropping on the new paper that I have never seen before! Does anyone recognize or know what this is? I don't want to overreact like I normally do so I'm hoping for advice on here before I go strait to the vet. I'll try to attach a picture if I can figure it out. He's also been beak grinding a lot for some reason. I gave him some of his thrive medicine just incase he needs something to boost his immune system, so hopefully that helps if there is something wrong. I also made sure he wasn't just grinding his seed pretending he was eating and I couldnt find any evidence that he wasn't eating normally.

The urate should be white, not yellow. If he keeps having droppings like that, and looking fluffed up, I would get in to the avian vet....keep us posted.

Keep an eye on his droppings today to see if they change back to normal.
How cold is it in your room?
Perhaps covering the top and three sides of Astro's cage would help him to be warmer and more comfortable?

Are you giving Astro ACV in his water regularly as a natural pro-biotic?

https://talkbudgies.com/articles-holi...r-vinegar.html

Apple Cider Vinegar will help keep his digestive system healthy.

I agree with Randy that if Astro continues to have dropping that are not normal and is fluffy and less active than usual you should get him to the Avian Vet.

Sorry if my Post was confusing or if the picture showed it wrong, but the urates are normal and white it was just the fecal portion that was light brown, but I just checked again and his more recent poops are solid now and are starting to darken up so I assume it wasn't anything. He also isn't very fluffed up and running/flying around his cage. I've had this happen before where their poop will look odd than go right back to normal. I haven't been adding Apple sider vinegar to his water, how much should I be adding?

I'm glad to hear his droppings are back to normal.

Read the information in the link I provided regarding the ACV.
The correct dosage is indicated there.

Budgies will often have an off poop so to say. If they are eating anything different, their water is different or perhaps got a little warm and bacteria grew. This is why we recommend ACV.
Stress can also cause them to do this as well, as going through a moult or coming into condition for hens.
Don't stress yourself when these things occur, read through the stickies this will help you with many things like this.

Ok thank you Cathy! I will definitely be sure to take time to read through the stickies when I get a chance!
