Follow-up CenterThreads made in the Emergency Room forum will be moved here by staff as a way to follow-up with members after their budgie emergency.
This keeps the E.R. for only the most current emergencies.
Last night at 3:00 am two street cats broke into the cage of our budgies and one was not injured but the other bird wing's is bleeding and the bones of the wing are not covered by flesh , my mum woke up when she heared their chirping and shooed the cats before they killed her, in where I live there's a shortage of vets, what can I help her with untill I can find one,she can move a lot but she can't fly.
Cat teeth and claws carry a stew of toxic bacteria that birds are not equipped to deal with. This can cause sepsis and death in a few days if not treated, your baby needs antibiotics to help her fight these bacterial and should see an avian vet asap for this and pain meds.
