Default Budgie got peroxide on her eyes

I'm learning but I also make mistakes. My budgie flew into the living room and one of her wings kind of broke. I saw some blood so I called the avian vet. She told me to desinfect that part with peroxide 3% and then stopped the blood with silver nitrate pencil. I tried to do that but as she moves so much some peroxide got into her eyes and her eyes began to swell until she couldn't open them.after the moment of shock I rinse her eyes with water.I called the vet but she didn't reply so I call another vet, she told me to wash her eyes with chamomile. Could the peroxide have damage my budgie's eyes? Around 1 minute or 2 she opened her eyes but were swollen. The avian is coming this morning. Any comment, links, suggestion are welcome. I only found one case on yahoo of a bird who got peroxide in its eyes. Thank you

Rinse her eyes with sterile saline solution which you can purchase at a pharmacy.
I certainly hope the Avian Vet can take care of both her wing and the eye problem and will be looking forward to your update.

The vet left 3 hours ago,two feathers were broken, one on the right and another on the left. She took them out. She also clean her eyes. The vet introduce the new budgie who was diagnosed with depression, to Ibi but it wasn't the most nice first meet. They are both in their cages, one in front of the other. I hope they become friends

I'm glad the vet treated the problem and hope she doesn't suffer any permanent damage to her eyes from the peroxide.

I'm moving your thread over to the follow-up section of the forum.

Please update us on how her eyes are doing in a day or so.

Best wishes.

My adorable Ibi is pretty healthy and happy. She is active and curious. She is chirping. She sleeps like an angel. She eats a lot, her poops are cute and her eyes are in perfect condition. She follow my fingers and try to bite them . I love her !
