Default Budgie Bleeding

We've managed to clot the bleeding with flour and baking soda. We cannot go to a vet and we need help. What do we do? He was bleeding REALLY bad, like it took forever to stop!

I am unable to enlarge the thumbnails and cannot see the wound.
Where is the budgie injured?
What happened to him?

If you are sure the bleeding has completely stopped, put him in a small hospital cage and keep him quiet and warm.

Give him Guardian Angel or electrolyte solution rather than water.

Why are you unable to take the injured budgie to a vet for proper treatment?

Althea bird is injured on his wing a lump has formed where the blood was pouring and I'm assuming that it's the baking soda. I put it on to stop the bleeding. He was hurt because he got stuck in a plastic food bowl. No qualified vets where we live.

Hi there and to the forums!

I'm sorry to hear of your budgie's injury. I also am unable to see a close up photo of the wound but it does not look good; that much blood loss requires immediate veterinary assistance.

You've been given great advice in the links above; be sure to update us soon on how your budgie is doing.

I hope you're able to go to the vet soon!

Best wishes.
