Default Budgie not eating for 2 days

Hi guys!
its been a while since I asked anything and this is kind of an SOS. I am currently away from my budgie for the holidays and left him with the proper care of my grandparents. they always watch over him everytime i go on a lil trip so they knew how to take care of him.
but here comes the problem: we left 2 days ago after a family get together and said farewells. it was this evening they told me he hasnt eatin anything since. no open seed shells or not even poop. they said on the first day they found sg that might look like a lil beginning diarrhea but thats it and nothing since. after I settled down from my anger not telling me before, i though maybe its the new kind of food (diff kind of seed mix i bought) is the trouble so i've sent my mom home to get the regular food (which was running out and i wanted to give them a new full bag) and some pellets treats. he was given this evening his usual food and they said he still didnt want to eat.
he is otherwise fine. running on the cage bars wanting to get out (hes a Houddini and hates being locked up) preening, clear eyes, featrhers not puffy, but still quite even whit the tv on (he always talks and chrips then).
my real problem is: now is Xmas time so to get him to a vet (that is open this time and know how to treat birds - its rare in our country) without me there, is impossible, and for me to get home well... almost impossible too.
i know for certain: he hasnt eating anything that is not good for him (i was there and superwised the whole time when he was out), i know he is not sitting in draft, and he is not sitting in cold either (my gpa hates cold anyway ). and i know the potty paper under him is changed daily, so is the seed and water. he has his fav toys, and its not the first time he was there and there were no problems ever. and they dont ignore him they go to him, talk to him, watch over him interact with him. if they put their finder in he sits on it. sooo. from what they told me everything is OK, if we dont count the fact he is NOT EATIN anyhting-!!!!! for a lil sized featherball like him, i heard it it can be very dangerous for not eating.....
we are waitin for the morning and see if he eats anything (new day fresh food, maybe he gets interested), while im worried sick and already had an argue at here home titled "another Xmas will be ruined again" (dont judge here pls, long and sad background story)...
so any tips would be greatly appreciated!!! waitin eagerly!
ty all
Nashisa

edit: if everything is okay, i would only go home next year. im kinda heartbroken. if sg terrible happens in my family. its always on Xmas. no matter what is it.. </3

Do your grandparents have any millet spay that they can give your bird, sometimes they will eat that when they won't eat anything else. Maybe for some reason he is a bit uncomfortable like when you bring a new bird home they may not eat for a couple of days. I would offer him all of his favorite foods and see if that tempts him to eat and try to make the surroundings as much like home as possible.

Cody has given you excellent advice.
Hopefully by now your budgie has become comfortable enough to start eating and drinking again.
Your grandparents can offer him millet soaked in pedialyte. The electrolytes should help balance his system and make him more interested in eating and drinking.
