Default Is this tail bobbing? (video)

I just noticed my 9-year-old female budgie Candy begin doing this today. Are these ordinary tail movements or tail bobbing?

Is this budgie tail bobbing? - YouTube
I fed Candy a big dandelion leaf for the first time today (she loved it) but had unfortunately been unaware that feeding too much dandelion to a bird for the first time could cause diarrhea. So is this possibly a sign of digestive troubles or something else?

My other budgie passed away recently and I've been really worried for her health.

That looks like normal tail movement. Bobbing because of a respiratory issue would be much more obvious. I had to really look close to see the movement.

I’m sorry to hear of your loss of your other budgie. Do you know if the reason for the passing was a potentially contagious illness or not?

Vegetable, fruits, and plants have a higher water content, so can temporarily cause more urine in the droppings. Watch for other symptoms. Is her activity level the same as ususal? In case you aren’t aware, Candy is a senior bird.

If you haven’t already, please read the Stickies throughout the forum. You’ll find a wealth of information on how to keep Candy at her best.

Thank you so much for your response - I'm relieved to hear it's normal.

My other budgie, Spring, passed away from a tumour, so I don't believe anything contagious was involved. Candy's activity levels are normal and her droppings look fine too, so there doesn't seem to be anything negative going on. I'll be sure to keep an eye on her, and read through the rest of this site's articles, as well. Thank you again for responding so quickly!

Thank you for being a concerned pet owner!

I'm closing this thread since everything is fine with Candy.
