Default Parrot Kakariki stroke Help

My freinds has a Kakariki and he was fine 4 hours ago. My freind thinks he is having a stroke, the bird is on the cage floor and breathing very heavily and eyes are shut and there is no vet nearby. The bird had a bad chest and was on fungitrax, I dont know what medicine that is.
Please tell me what I should do?

Did a vet prescribe that medicine, it seems to be a med that treats fungal problems. You need to consult the vet that gave the bird the medicine, the birds condition may be a result of whatever it is being treated for.

First, I’m very sorry your friend is experiencing this. But unfortunately, no one besides a vet can accurately say what is wrong with the bird.

She needs to keep the bird comfortable and warm, and find an avian vet, or at least a vet who can contact and consult with avian vet. If a vet did not prescribe the meds, there is a chance it was the wrong medicine and could have caused more harm than good? Or else the bird has declined for lack of the correct treatment.
