Default Budgie broken leg.. Pls help urgent

Hi.. my budgie has broken his left.. I think the leg is dislocated and broken.. he can't move, or contract or move his toes or the left leg completely.. it's been one day since his leg was broken.. there are no vets near me and it's night now.. please help me and my budgie.. would he lose his ability to move his legs? is any surgery needed or what? will it heal by its own? Please help me and please say what would be needed? Normally if a leg is broken, what should be done? It needs to be splint? Please say what is needed.. I can let him lose his legs.. please save my budgie.. please!!!!

I'm sorry to hear your budgie has been injured.

Your budgie must be seen by a vet for the proper diagnosis and treatment.

The attached links have listings of Veterinarians in your area:

https://www.justdial.com/Thrissur/Ve...s/nct-10519268

https://www.kvasu.ac.in/doctors/district/9

Hopefully you have the bird in a small hospital/travel cage at this point in time and are keeping him quiet and warm.
Give him Guardian Angel or Pedialyte to help keep his electrolytes balanced while you find a veterinarian and get him there as quickly as possible.

Once you've seen the vet with him, please be sure to update us in this thread on how he's doing.

Hi there and to the forums,

I'm sorry that this happened. Please understand, there is no way to cure this at home and if you do not take him in to the vet, his leg could get infected and he may lose his life. The best that could happen is that it heals incorrectly and he is deformed for the rest of his life The only way to help him is to take him to an avian vet.

Please update us when he's got an appointment! We're keeping our fingers crossed for a full recovery

The information you received above about needing a vet to set the leg is correct. It needs to be set right, and soon. It will be ok after. Takes time to heal, but it will. I have had this problem with a budgie, and got through it.
