Follow-up CenterThreads made in the Emergency Room forum will be moved here by staff as a way to follow-up with members after their budgie emergency.
This keeps the E.R. for only the most current emergencies.
I'm not exactly sure where I should post. I'm sad, scared & guilty I have two budgies, young and scared. One escaped the cage and refused to return too it's partner in the cage. After two days he was still out but on top of cage. I could not approach. He would fly away each time. Finally, Inwent out too catch him in which I did. The hardest thing I ever did. Once in the cage all settled down. The next morning I greeted them and was in total shock too see my poor baby had no tail feathers at all. They were all at bottom of cage. He seems fine, singing, eating, and being social with his buddy except me. I feel like he hates me now. What in God's name had I caused. I read they will grow back, I hope so. He looks funny without tail feathers but I know it is no laughing matter. Will he survive.? I love these little angels. Please help.
