Default First night terror last night

So I went through the first night terror last night, not fun and I don't want to do that again.

Something freaked out Thor last night and Zeus was startled due to his actions. Funny enough Ra just sat there and chilled like it was no big whoop.

Sadly, not all ended well. Zeus got hurt somehow last night and now I'm concerned since I'm unsure of what to do. I attached the photo so you can see, his feather got messed up.

Should I remove this, take him to a vet or just let it go? He doesn't seem bothered by it right now, but I know birds have a problem with not wanting to show weakness in a flock. Now Zeus is my youngest so he hasn't yet fully matured, if I leave it alone, will this feather fall out or is it a more permanent one.

Sorry for the photo not being super clear, he's still jittery so he won't let me hold him right now.

Mine has those night terrors also. Having some light at night helps reduce it. A night light perhaps?

That's what I'm hoping as well. I just went out and bought a penny light since I have no outlet nearby for a traditional night light. I hope this helps to at least reduce the incident.

He may preen the feather out himself. A nightlight should help...

Good to hear! He's still young, so I hope once he loses his stripes he will grow them long tips back in. Ra and Thor are just flying all around and poor Zeus looks so sad since all he can do is flutter and fall right now (he was sick and had to visit the vet, vet decided to clip the wings right away).

if its not bleeding leave it alone.. He will most likely take care of it if its bothering him...

Birds will have night fright ... so the night light is a good idea....

I got mine a night-light after Ollie had a night fright. Haven't had a problem since.

Just thought I'd drop an update since. So far the night light was a fantastic idea. Haven't had any issues since, and in fact, I think all of us are sleeping a bit more peacefully now.

*Update 29 Jan 15* Night terrors for the last two nights now. Called and talked to a vet, she said to bring them in for a visit, as there may be an underlying cause. Will update again, once the vet takes a look at them.
