Default Budgie compendium

Hello fellow budgie lovers!

If you are like me, a new budgie owner and someone who likes to research, you are dismade by the lack of consistent information. Much of the knowledge I've gleaned is from other more experienced owners and breeders on this wonderful forum, and I don't wonder if there isn't a lot of tacit knowledge that is not being documented or passed on.

To that end I would like to purpose a research thread of sorts. I only have the one subject to study but would very much appriciate learning and compiling information from the experience of others.

If it's okay with the mods to continue I would love for any and all to participate. If there is any interest I will lay down some required information (age, sex, etc.)

I would like to start with budgie development - although it's been covered very well (especially chicks) I would like to explore it further (for example I had no idea budgies had a baby moult to lose most of their down and then a big bird moult where they get there adult feathers until yesterday!)

Anyway, I hope some people might be as interested as me in researching and getting more information on their featherd friends

Alisha,

I'm wondering if you've read the articles in the Budgie Articles Forum
Budgie Articles Forum - Talk Budgies Forums
as there is a wealth of information there as well as in the "stickies"
List of Stickies - Talk Budgies Forums
at the top of each section of the forum.

You may want to begin your research project with those.
