So my new pair of budgies seem to be flirting to each other, especially the female. What's weird is that they're still young! They kiss all the time and scratch each other, etc. Does that mean they're siblings? Or is it normal for young budgies to do that? Please I need some help, thanks!

Hello how old are your budgies were they bought from a store or a breeder, do they have leg bands on? If they do have the band check the date on it . f they came from the same clutch they are siblings so they can not be allowed to mate. Are you sure of the sex of your budgies? Even two males or two females will kiss and cuddle they become bonded. It does not mean they are going to mate.
I'm not really sure about their age, but they're definitely under six months. I bought them from a pet store and yes they're a male and a female. I attached an image of them, you can check too. Anyways, I just wanna see if they're siblings or not because I'm planning to breed them in the future. Thanks the response.
Budgies need to be at least twelve to eighteen months of age before mating them. They also need to be fed a breeding diet and you need to be prepared for emergencies that could happen.
Buying two babies together like you have from the same place can mean they are actually from the same parents and in fact brother and sister so you should not pair them up ad allow them to breed.
Some youngsters can still bond with another bird even before they're sexually mature! My guys all go into the aviary together and are then allowed to pick their own mates (unless it's a brother/sister pairing of course) because I find I have more breeding success that way. Even when they're in the weaning cages though, they will chatter to one another/feed one another etc. It's quite cute! As said above. If you plan on breeding you'll want to wait until they're at a more mature age so you don't do any damage
