Default How often to feed egg?

I fed my budgies mashed egg, carrot, and seed yesterday and they loved it. I'm gonna go to the store soon to buy more healthy stuff to put in it, but can I give them another egg today?
thanks.

During breeding and molting periods I feed egg food daily The rest of the year I feed egg food 1-2 times a week myself.

You do not want to give them too much too often or they will gain too much weight, and in addition the odds of their developing health problems will be much higher

Hi.. OK.. I'll say it.. I'm jealous. I fixed up a similar treat yesterday for mine, but did they "love it" like yours did?? NOOOO. Did they even try it? NOPE.
I'm going to keep trying.. They will like it. I know they will

My vet says that once a week is a good idea for the reasons that Lindsey says and also for their livers, which aren't designed to digest proteins in the same way as other animals. (But they should have protein occasionally)

I give Sammy a bit of egg food (boiled egg, veggies and herbs) and he loves it! But I only give him about a quarter of a boiled egg once a week. If he's molting, I'll give it to him twice a week.

Good luck

I asked this to a vet when I got my budgies for 3 mounts ago. She said that she recommend it only 2-3 times a mount, because they should not eat that much protein too often, it can disturb the hormon balances resulting in agitated behaviours and a female who starts to get ready for babies, which can put her in lot of stress.
I guess you have to try and see how your birds react. However, if you are new to budgies like I am, it can be hard to read your budgies, to know what symptom is caused by too high protein intake or if its related to something else..
