Default Peanut has a thing for Rammstein

Since I work from home, Peanut gets a LOT of attention and gets to listen to a lot of different music. I'm a freelance writer so the music helps get me into the mood and he likes to chirp along to it.

We've been working on mimicry too with "Pretty Bird/Boy" and "Kisses" because he does already copy the kissy noises I make at him and I caught the beginning of him saying Pretty and the kissy noises. Any other time, he doesn't really want to participate (even though I know he's paying attention!) but when this song "Tier" came on by Rammstein (a German rock band) he went into full chirpy overload! I got him out of the cage and started the song over and decided to take a little video to share with you all!

If you listen closely just before I say Pretty Bird, you can hear (well I think so anyways!) him say Pretty... the clicky noises are the kissy sounds we make together <3

I cant describe the other noises he's making other than monkey chirbles!

Anyways just thought I'd share!

Your Budgie is really beautiful. I can hear him saying pretty boy... While he is doing that budgie whistle that is the time to teach him to talk.. My budgie talks to he says 50 different sentences.. Thanks for sharing..

Yay!! I'm not the only one who can hear it! That makes me feel a lot better because I keep telling people he's starting to talk but they never believe me because he won't do it when he has an audience!

Thank you He is a special guy!

Yes I can hear him talking and saying pretty boy. While he is doing that baby whistle noise that is the time to keep repeating pretty boy over and over again when he has got it then teach him his name when he has the hang of picking things up then teach him little sentences but wait till he has mastered pretty boy first. Would you like to hear Indigo talk I'll send you his link tomorrow. Yes you are right he is saying pretty boy really softly keep saying it to him.... Let me know how you go.... Indi says twinkle twinkle little star I'm a little budgerigar and lots more...

That is so cute! I'd love to see the Indigo talk! I found Disco the talking budgie on YT the other day (he's funny!)

I'm really glad Peanut is picking up words too! I remember my first budgie when I was little and he was mean and all he did was squawk all the time, so I'm super excited that Pea will have prettier things to say!

Maybe your budgie will pick up the words that Indigo is saying... I'll have to teach Indi to say Hi Peanut..Your budgie is really clever. How old is peanut.. Indi is 3 years old now and still learning words...

When I got him on the 12th of Feb he was 6 weeks, so he's closer to 10 weeks now. I never pay attention to the date (maybe I should! haha) I'll ask the breeder exactly what day he was born.

He's just on the top of his cage now having breakfast....Banana Grapes Carrot some baby corn, lettuce and cucumber. He likes the carrot best but I like to give him a few choices so he can discover what he likes best!
