Default I am SO mean!

Someone should just take Pudgy and Wudgy away from me. I just had the NERVE to stick my hands in the cage, clean it, take old toys out and put new ones in. How DARE I? There are things in there that are NEW and just don't belong!!

They got separated during all the hubbub and are too silly to rejoin each other on the same side of the cage. They hate change. But look! There are seeds in the bowl under that NEW THING, should we dare brave it? Maybe we should just sit here and stare at it some more. OH NO! There is another NEW thing over there! YIKES! Hmmm. Maybe if we scream at it... NO! Don't even look at it, that will work.

Oh, now the terrible lady is whistling to us, we like that. Should we whistle back? Just a little would be OK. BUT THERE ARE NEW THINGS HERE!!!

LOLOL, they are just so silly and I'm really terrible to be doing such things to them.

You are a horribly "mean" Momma! (GASP!)

I wonder if you put a bit of millet on a couple of those "new" things if they'd be so horrible then?

I meant to do just that but forgot to grab a sprig on my way. I may put some in later, when they calm down a bit. They are so silly. I just went to check on them, they are together and when I clicked and whistled at them Pudgy gave me the open mouth no sound business. They are singing as I type so I think they'll live right through it all.

Budgies are so funny. You have to love them. You must just have to give them some millet mum. For changing their home and putting scary things in. I think they will forgive you then.

Too bad you didn't capture that on camera for entry into the BOTM challenge!

Here are the big scaredy cats. They are singing up a storm but avoiding the new toys. Goofs.

Aren't they the silly ones? The last time I 'redecorated' the girls' cage, they were out playing.. when they got home, SOMEONE had CHANGED THINGS! I think I got the cold shoulder for a few hours, even with millet
That was a cute story!! Thanks for sharing it.

Hahah this is Mallorn all the time, before I put ANYTHING new even remotely NEAR her cage, I have to let her get used to it by setting it where she can see it, then playing with it myself. I can't tell you how many concerned looks I've gotten from people walking in on me whistling and swatting at a bird toy

Oh yes, they have that vigilant stare about them!

My Sammy is the same way - he's convinced that I got him a new cage just to give him more space to escape the scary new things. I'm so glad to read that he's not the only one!!
