Default Please help me determine the sex of my budgie!

So I recently got a new budgie. We named him Casper because we were told that [he] was probably a boy (from the pet store, and he is 3-6 months old) I have been doing some research online and some sources say that [he] would be female, but some say male. Casper is a very sweet bird so far. [He] doesn't bite, and isn't aggressive in any way. Casper chirps when I read to [him] and when I play sounds of other parakeets and nature. [He] also chirps to the sunrise as well. Please help me, I have attached a picture below, and thank you so much!

Edit: In the photos, [he] has a white ring around the nostril and light blue around the outside

Edit: If you want another picture, just let me know!

There is no doubt whatsoever that you have a cute budgie girl there.
And she is in the process of losing her baby bars on the forehead, I'd say she is about 3 and a half months old.

Your Casper is a little girl indeed She's in a great age for taming, and it is lovely to hear that she is already chirping with you when you read. I would advise against plating bird sounds though, because it can create a distance between you. You want her to think you're a budgie and to make her search for company in you, so her having budgie sound will make it harder to tame her. Playing music is a great alternative!

Thank you for the information! This is actually really helpful! I think I'll change her name to "Cassy" what do you think?

Imaginary, (and everyone) thanks for the fast replies! We have renamed her Calypso because my siblings hated the name Cassy . Oh well, thats okay! When I got home yesterday she was acting pretty scared and weird, but after a bit of me just talking to her she started hopping around her cage. At one point she was literally running around the bottom of the cage. She is very active! She was grinding her beak before bed, which I hear is good! Here is a new picture of her, from yesterday.

Edit: Any ideas how come whenever I post a picture, it turns sideways? Thanks!

The picture turns sideways because you are uploading attachments rather than using PhotoBucket and the forum is set-up so it favors landscape over portrait.

If you use a PhotoBucket account and upload full-size pictures from that to the forum you won't have that problem.

So, it sounds at this point like you have two girls, although i still can't see your attachments well enough to formulate an opinion myself.
