Default Zippi boy/girl?

Hopefully this is a better pic for telling gender than the one in my intro thread. I bought Zippi from a pet shop 3 weeks ago & have no idea about gender, age or variety. Any info would be greatly appreciated

That picture is perfect and I can tell you without shadow of a doubt that your Zippi is young budgie girl.
Looking at her I'd say is about 3 months old. I think Zippi is a yellow face type II sky blue recessive pied budgie.

Thanks for your quick reply Aluz. Even though I've been referring to her as him I suspected she was a girl.

I agree she's a very pretty sky blue yellowface II recessive pied hen.
