Question Oliver Update

Hey there! Oh my gosh Oliver is a cuddle monster. He loves to sit on my hand when I draw and play games. He's a wanderer and loves to explore everywhere my hands are. He's very attached to my hands. He stopped his attacking my mouth when sitting on my mic. He loves getting head scritches and rubs his head on my cheek when sitting on the mic. I am worried about his molting. He does shed feathers a bit more frequently than I would expect but not a full on molt. He's going for a vet check up soon so the vet can see his progress and what happened to his foot after his accident. He isn't in pain and doesn't mind me touching his messed up foot. He's learning to speak! He's learned to say more grown up words, but mostly just says who's a good bird and baby bird.

Regarding his health, I do worry every time he "yawns." My mind thinks the worst each time. I watch his tail and his breathing is fine. I'm gonna look at getting some molting ease spray for him.

I am looking for a toy that makes a ton of noise that he can shake or spin. Something with rattly beads or a ton of bells. He's a major noise maker and not much of a chewer. I've been trying to encourage him to chew things up but he doesn't like that at all. He'll get bored if he only has chewing toys and preening toys but no noisy things. What is the noisiest toy you know?

How cute
Oliver's yawns seem normal to me, most budgies yawn up to a few times a day, just like we do. Also, if he's "yawning" while or after he's eating, it's possible he's just rearranging his crop, so that the food settles in better.
As for noisy toys, Mallorn loves her bell. It's made of stainless steel and is on a chain with hard wooden blocks that she loves to chew on, and she can't tear it up because of the wood.
Budgies tend to love bells, so maybe think of getting him one? Just be sure it's made of safe metal (stainless steel, preferably)
Hope this helps

Well it seem's fitting that such a handsome boy as Oliver, would be turning into such a top notch feathered friend. I agree with StarlingWing's on the crop adjustment, one of mine does it a lot more than the other's and alway's has...

AND NOW FOR MORE ABOUT OLIVER!!!!

He's been a very good boy.
He's been a bit bitey lately but I'll blame spring for that. I have taken him to a friend's place in his crate and found he does very well in new environments and around new friends. We've moved to a new place and he's loving the new apartment so much! It's more open ended for him to just go crazy and fly everywhere! I went and got him a shower perch since he hated his misting spray so much. He was never good about it. But he loves me so much he is a very good bird about taking a shower. He fluffs up and shakes his wings, truly enjoying his time.

He may be a bit bitey but he's still such a cuddler. He never strays far from me at all hours of the day when I'm home from work. He can speak! He says a few words like "Who's a good boy? Who's a bird? Silly boy/bird. C'mere. Baby bird/boy." And a few other phrases that I don't know where he picked them up but they are not quite forum appropriate. His favorite thing to say is "biiirrrrrd." His headbobs are the funniest thing to watch! He rocks out hardcore! He'll rapidly headbang on my desk just to make noise with his beak.
