Bruce update!
It looks like Bruce is going through her first moult! Her head is covered in little pin feathers, and I have to clean lots of little feathers from the cage everyday. She was a lot younger than I thought when I bought her, for it just to be happening now. I'm going to miss her little baby head bars! They are so cute. She is very sleepy and grouchy right now. Normally she sits with us on the sofa (on our shoulders) but the past day or so she just wants to stay in her cage, and rest or chatter to herself. At least she is enjoying the cheek rubs we offer! I'll get some pictures of her tomorrow.

Poor little girl I'm glad she enjoys the cheek rubs, though! Hopefully she feels better soon, and maybe a bath would ease her discomfort?
My girl Mallorn sends her lots of millet to feel better as she's going through a rough moult at the time and completely understands

I'd offer Bruce some high protein foods during her molt to help keep her energy level up and promote pretty feathers.

I give my birds egg food (Hard boiled egg, quinoa, and flax seed) during their molts and offer them baths frequently.

I'm not very good at using Instagram. Here is the link to my page with all the new pictures of Bruce and her epic eyebrows.

Bruce is darling. I'm sure there is a story to 'her' name??? I'm thinking it's something similar to my girl Oscar's story!
At any rate, hope her discomfort from the molt is short lived.

Jrook, what is Oscars name origin?
Bruce has many nicknames, but we named her that because she always looks brooding like batman. We didn't know if it was a girl or boy when we got her. People on this forum think female, so Ms Bruce it is.
