Default Acting Strange

My birds are 4 months old and I have had then one month. Today they both have been acting differently all day long. Sun has always been the loud and the dominant bird and Shine has been more playful and more on the quiet side.

Today that all changed. Both of them have been going crazy. They had played before, but very cautious, light playing and playing off and on all day. Not only have they been playing all day they are more bolder and throwing their things around. They both have been more vocal than normal. The sad thing is they this is the first time I saw them fighting.

Sun has always been more dominant, but today Shine is the boss and wouldn't take crap and hogged the toys, chasing Sun away

What the heck is going on? I woke up to two different birds.

Hi it could be a combination of several things affecting your budgies behaviour. They are certainly more at ease now and allowing their personalities to come through. All budgies having a more dominant leader this is normal, they could also be going through the teenage years as we like to say LOL. They are of the age when they start to mature and become adults, they experience their first moult, all in all just like people they will settle once more don't worry.

You don't know how good it makes me feel that I have nothing to worry about. This morning they are super active again but getting along so far.
