Default Feather sticking out

Hello
I noticed my budgie has a weird feather that sticks out of his back kind of..
what can that be? and does it painful for him?
how can I help him? thanks

Mine had the same issue, but she didn't seem bothered by it! I smoothed it out for her. Weird feathers may be new feathers, and in that case, they will smooth out. Looks kinda stiff

Mine isn't bothered as well but I can't smooth it
I tried even with water and it just stays well maybe it will fall out or something ^^

Probably just a misplaced disgruntled feather. I would leave it alone for now. If it was irritating him he'd probably preen it off on his own.
Think of it as a little birdy cowlick!
