Default Should I get one or two new babies?

I have found a breeder near me who has chicks that will be ready in 8 weeks or so.

I am wondering whether to get one or two male babies to live with Sunny and Louis, what do you think? Is it too soon?

Louis is a very lively little boy and I'm wondering if he is too much for Sunny Jim who is quieter, perhaps because he is older.

Would adding another one or two make things better or worse?

As long as you see that Sunny and Louis are both getting along, even though Sunny might be more reserved, I would wait a little bit.
A new and hyper baby might do one of two things: it could further annoy docile Sunny Jim, which would stress him out, or it could make Louis and the new baby bond and take attention away from Sunny Jim.
If you absolutely had to have one or two more budgies, I would get two to prevent the possibility of Sunny Jin becoming the third wheel due to his passive personality and older age gap.
If you start noticing that Sunny and Louis just aren't getting along, then a distraction might be necessary and Sunny Jim might enjoy his alone time, but for now I would stick to your two boys or get two more
I hope this helps, I bet it's hard to resist the little babies!

I agree with Star. I would not get additional budgies at this time.
Give Sunny and Louis time to settle in for a few months.

If you add additional young budgies, the youngsters are going to bond to one another and poor Sunny may end up being left out.
