Default New Budgie Blood around eyes?

Hi, I just bought a bird budgie for my other one as I couldn't find the other one. Over night I saw a red blood like mark around her eyes. When I first put her in her new cage she started flying around the cage crazily. The male has been pretty nice as I saw but I'm not sure what happened do you guys know by the picture? Thanks

Hello, It looks like your new budgie could of possibly injured the eye either from flying around as you described or the other bird could of done it.
When you bring home a new budgie it is always wise to quarantine , this is for health and well being of any other budgies you have and the new budgie. If the new budgie comes from an aviary situation it could be carrying a sickness or parasites or mites.
Also it is much easier to see how the birds will get along if you introduce them slowly.
Let her settle and try not to stress her, keep an eye on the area and for any sign of aggression from your other bird towards her.

Does she look unhealthy?
And whenever the other budgie male who is like a year and a half, she is a few months apparently. Yeah whenever he is in the side of the cage and tries to get onto the perch, he bites her so she moves up but he used to do this to the other budgie as well.

Is it possible for you to post a front on picture of her face, I am not sure but she might have mites. If she does she will need to be treated and so will your other bird . Try to get a clear picture with her cere showing.

Thankyou for the quick response! These are great pictures and no she doesn't have mites, she is in fact in condition by the look of her cere, your handsome male is going through a moult poor boy many members myself included are experiencing moulting budgies here on the forum at present.
Have you got some good egg and biscuit mix or conditioning food for them to help their feathers come in? Moulting can make some budgies very grumpy, you have added a new bird to his territory and he will also be showing her he is the boss!. Make sure she is getting to the food dish having at least two is the best way to approach it. What are their names?
