My girl doesn't generally, but I have heard of budgies who do. As long as you have a bedtime and stick with it, I'm sure they'll stop protesting when it's time for lights out!

We must see video of this....too funny....budgies are really smart. Mine don't get covered, so they will have to attack the light's themselves....

How funny! I've never heard of this before😂

Oisin used to go into his house and climb up onto his swing (which was his favourite bed) the second I pulled out the blanket - such a good little boy.

Please take a video of this I'd love to see it 😊

Haven't heard of it, either...when our two see the cover coming it's a rush to see who gets to the swing first...funny, as they both sleep on it...

My Pearl isn't too keen on her blanket either - when I pick it up to put it on the cage you can see the little face looking down at it not very pleased and when I put it over the cage she'll snap at it through the bars and give it a bite, I think it's actually got a few holes in it for this reason! Almost like children who don't want to go to bed! So you can rest assured it's not just your budgies who do this :-)

Hahahaha yes!!! Merlin does this! She can be snoozing away in her cage and when I get ready to go up to bed and put her cover on she makes her angry noise and starts bashing the hell out of all her toys and biting at the cage. She WANTS to sleep so God knows why she does this. Makes me laugh though!
