Hi. I'm new here and kind of new to owning budgies. I have one, and I'm also taking care of my bother's budgie because he is too young to take care of it.
My brother's, started doing something REALLY cute the other day. I looked at him, and he opened his mouth slowly and slightly pushed his head out from his body. It looked cute. I did the same (or as close as I could to it). He must have thought it was funny or amusing or something. He did it again. We did that back and forth for a while. He did it again just now, why is he doing that? He makes no sound when he's doing that. I've heard the signs of not breathing and it doesn't match that at all.
Hello and welcome to TB, owning budgies is a great experience and it is wise to ask as many questions you need to. We also have a wonderful array of informational articles on the left of the page under Forum Home. Please have a read through these stickies.
To answer your question your budgie is doing what all budgies do! he is adjusting his crop, his crop is where all his food goes and sometimes they stretch like that to move it around sort of. Please ask anything you are not sure of and we would love to see some pictures soon.
To familiarize yourself with the forums, please take the time to read through all of the How To Guides, the FAQs and the stickies located at the top of each section of the forum.
You'll find most of your basic questions are answered after you've read through all of them.
I'm looking forward to hearing all about your budgie and hopefully seeing some pictures soon!!
Welcome to TB!
I agree with the above, he sounds like a very clever and adorable little boy. We'd love to see pictures of both your little birds, and please do ask anything you're unsure of.
Here we love people who do their research, keep the questions coming!
Hope to see you around the forums!
and Princess Mallorn!
Thank you to Deb for her wonderful Faery magic
