I don't think there's anything unusual in budgies shredding things. Mine does it a lot, and my previous budgie did it as well, just not as much. From what I've read on this forum, so budgies like shredding things while other don't do it much, so she might continue this behaviour...

Carline,

It is a budgie's nature to shred things and is very good for their beak to keep it trimmed and healthy.
Many budgies that are in condition particularly like to shred.

Giving Georgie plenty of wood toys and shredding toys and making sure she has a cuttlebone and mineral block to chew will keep her busy and stimulated which, along with her good diet and out-of-cage time, will make for a very healthy and happy budgie!

Carline,

Please put a cuttlebone in her cage even if she doesn't use it.
Many budgies won't use one for months and then suddenly they will start chewing it. Cuttlebones provide necessary calcium for a budgie which is very important.

You can also consider getting her perches like these which provide calcium:
Comfy Clam Mineral Flat Perch for Birds by Polly's Pet Products

Cuttlebone Calcium Bird Perch

My birds all have cuttlebones and both of these type perches in their cages. They LOVE both of these perches. (Both sitting on them and nibbling them)

She sounds like one happy little girl budgie to me, I agree about the cuttlebone I have them as well as the perches in my cages.
