oh boy here we go again!

Well you likely all know by now im a soft touch for rescues and birds in need of homes.

Not sure if i posted on here a year or so back about a cockatiel called Sydney who needed rehoming from a friend of a friend. Well he got rehomed to a friend of mine with the promise if it didnt work out he must come back to me.

Well fast forward to now and due to a horrible situation of my friend being broken into - no birds taken thank goodness - he is now giving up all his birds bar one. He offered me all the birds but at this stage ive agreed to take his pair of budgies (potentially budgies with eggs as shes in and out the nest box) and of course dear Sydney. I popped by on tuesday to get the blood samples for the disease testing i need to do. Hes keeping hold of them until i get the results which hopefully will be by the end of next week. All being well im bringing them home friday or saturday :) he still cant fly bless him and im now almost 100% certain he was clipped in his previous home and clipped incorrectly.

Well that was, i thought, my excitment for the time being.
However on another forum it came to my attention of an orange winged amazon needing a new home. Believed female and believed to be around 4 years old. Hand shy but will take food. Sounds very similiar to Rocky wgen i got him. So me being a total sucker ive given in and all being well i shall be collecting her saturday :) shes booked in at my avian vets next week for her microchip and checkup including bloodwork.

So please guys all fingers and wings crossed for nice clear disease free results for my latest additions. Abd heres hoping all goes plain sailing and they settle in well after quarantine :)

It's great you're able to take in all these wonderful birds! But mate, I have to say, if there were a contest for "most birds", you would have to be right up there with Lindsey!
Glad you have enough space for all these avian friends, I can't wait to see pictures of the new arrivals! :D
Congratulations!

Wishing you all the best with the upcoming "new" additions to your flock, Amelia.
We'll be looking forward to the update (and pictures) when everybirdie is all settled in. :)

Oh my goodness, you must have such a noise in the morning when everybirdie is happy and singing.
Hope all goes according to plan Amelia, looking forward to seeing your new birds soon. One thing for sure they are coming into a loving and caring home non better.

Wow Amelia, that's amazing. Good on you for rescuing all these birds. If I judge by how much extra joy our little one has brought into our house, yours must be a happy home :)

Can't wait to see the pictures :D

You certainly have my admiration taking them on Amelia - I do hope it works out. Your flock must be amazing! I bet you have your hands full at feeding time!

Wow, you sure have your hands full Amelia! I can not wait to hear more about the new family members once they are home :)

Sending all the good vibes your way I can
