Hi all! I just made an account so expect me to be nooby. The title says it all...
I live in Pune, a city that doesn't have many pet stores. I am going to buy a budgie and cannot find a suitable breeder or pet shop as everywhere I have gone, the birds were crammed, inbred and abused, which is why I have posted this thread to find a reputable and decent breeder for budgies in Pune. I do have a cockatiel so I do have experience so thanks in advance and if you can please post pictures or a link to their website if you can!
Oh noes! I forgot to punctuate...

To familiarize yourself with the forums, please take the time to read through all of the How To Guides, the FAQs and the stickies located at the top of each section of the forum.
You'll find most of your basic questions are answered after you've read through all of them.
Have you thought about adopting? I've never been to India, so I don't know where you could procure a budgie. However, if you can adopt a rescue (from a shelter or someone who is getting rid of their budgie), that would be perfect. As you said, the breeders and pet shops you've been to had the birds kept in terrible conditions. If I were you, I wouldn't support the breeders or pet shops. But, it's up to you.
Also, I assume you have access to safe, clean supplies for your future budgie? You know, clean water, organic seed (preferably), fresh fruits and veggies, etc? I hope that doesn't sound offensive in any way! I mean, you mentioned that the budgies were inbred and kept in really bad conditions, suggesting a lack of animal rights laws and lack of proper education on animal care. I know that a number of places in India, just like in any country, are impoverished, unsanitary, and lack clean water, but I also know that there are also places that are nice and clean.
I just want to make sure your budgie has access to lots of yummy food and veterinary care if needed. A few of the member on here are from remote areas, where there aren't even vets for "common" animals such as cats and dogs...or air conditioning. Their budgies are taken good care of since they thought ahead about what their budgies would need.
I'll look into some places you can get budgies from with my awesome google skills .

You might want to look at this thread. I believe both you and the Original Poster from the thread may be in the same area.
Perhaps you can connect via Private Message and he may have some ideas on where you can find a good breeder.
