How long has your budgie been dropping feathers may I ask?
Budgies are all different in how they act and react to going through a molt. Some get through it with ease, others become tired, grumpy and not wanting to interact. A good diet with conditioning foods helps at these times and also having a bath or spray bottle on hand to help sooth the itchiness of new feathers .
