Default Favourite Treats?

Hi! I was wondering what your guy's budgie's favourite treats are?

My two girls are in need of something new as they just finished off their last egg biscuit

Popsicle is quite picky, she will take a few nibbles of kale but never any other vegetables.

Bridgette is a really good eater, she'll take almost anything you offer to her

Thank you!

Mallorn loves pear, crushed raw almonds, and shredded cheese
I know birds are lactose intolerant and can't have salt, but once in a while she gets a small bite of cheese. Almonds are a good moulting treat because they have fatty oils for feather growth, and pear is for anytime

Glad that Popsicle likes kale at least!

Awesome!

I just picked up some pears so I'll give those a shot

Unfortunately I'm highly allergic to all nuts so I can't feed almonds I'll definitely look into some alternative sources though.

Thank you!

MILLET!!!!!!!! Penry will do ANYTHING for millet! This is how we taught him all his tricks and bought his affection as a baby haha.

He also loves whatever I'm eating . I'll let him have nibbles of fruit (strawberry, peach, and banana are his favorites) or carrot or spinach, as well as grain cereal.

He also goes bonkers for stuff with cheese in it, especially Cheez-Its and Goldfish. We try to keep him lock up when we are eating those (since its not good for budgies) but he just screeches the whole time because he wants it so bad. I wonder what it is about budgies and cheese?!?!

Backing @birding with the millet comment. I have never met a budgie who doesn't love millet, though It's probably not the healthiest compared to vegetables.

Peas, corn and berries are the favorites of the budgies I volunteer with.

Fresh grown grass seed from outside (washed of course), chickweed, spinach and dandelion leaves. Millet goes without saying! I knew an avian vet who gave his birds Pringles - not so sure I would like to do that!

Mine love baby carrots. I have to put a few carrots in the cage or they squabble over it. They devour it in a matter of minutes lol

Nancy

I like the Cheerios on a string idea
