At work we have about 20 budgies and I can tell if they are males or females rather easily, but this one is a bit tougher. I am guessing male, but because it is a light pink, I am baffled.
I really love this birds personality. It is full of life, but can be a bully to the others. It sings the most, plays with all the toys, etc. It is pretty fun to watch! I am sticking to one at the moment, but I wanted to know what gender this one is. The one thing I have noticed is that it really doesn't like females, and while it picks on the males, it really gets angry and chases off the females from wherever it is all the time. The others definitely respect it. I want to be able to educate potential adopters so that they know if it may get along with theirs, if they have one at home. I think it would be best in a single home, honestly, with how dominant it can be about things.
He got adopted by a wonderful family! The kids are home schooled and everyone is home quite a lot, so he will never be alone for too long. I educated them to my best ability and then I gave them this website to learn even more! I'm glad I knew what gender he was before someone took him home, haha.
I'm glad the little fellow was adopted by a good family.
Thank you for taking the time to educate them and share the information out the forum with them. Hopefully, they will decide to join and learn evern more!
