Default Jedi

I have recently returned from a couple months abroad (that is why I have been away from here). My husband has been watching the birds and when I got home I figured out why Bumblebee has been a snot to Jedi. Jedi is a girl!

Jedi had a blue and white cere for the longest time and when I came home it was brown! I took her to an avian vet to make sure it wasn't cancer or other ailments.

So I have separated Jedi in another cage now that both of them are in condition and are at each other's throats.

What a surprise. My two hen's get along well, they share the closest bond out of any of my bird's. They do squabble with each other though, but harmlessly. A lot of breeder's keep their bird's separated by sex, and have no problem's. Do you have a large cage that can keep territorial issues at a minimum ? Is the mean behavior by bumblebee really bad or just squabbling type, bossy stuff ? If they can't be successfully housed together, smaller cages right next to each other will still give them each other's company without the fear of physical damage....

Smile Jedi

There are girl Jedi's too!!!

After a while the hormones will become less intense. How old are your girls.
vigorous supervised play /flight activity can reduce the stress. Wear a teen out and all they want to do is dream about sex instead of act upon the urge to become active. By 3 years this should smooth out. advice above is great.
Blessings, Jo Ann
