That is wonderful news to hear, I also think Deborah's suggestion would be a nice gesture as well, even if you simply make a cake and take in the next time you are there and a small card would show your appreciation.

Yeah, definitely, those are great ideas! One of the techs said she has a friend who could take them for a couple months, but she does live a bit farther away and has cats, so I probably will wait for someone else to come along. Another one of the techs said she wishes she could take them, but her household already has cats, dogs, lizards, and fish! Lol! A few of my coworkers have told me that the baby lets them pet his belly sometimes .

Sounds to me like you are converting them all to be Budgie Lovers who will shortly have their own flocks

Perhaps your boss will decide she likes having budgies there and will offer to allow them to stay until you move.
