Default Sexing my first feather baby!

Hello all Sorry in advance if I haven't added the link properly but I'm totally new to this forum business so
still getting used to it all!

Anyway, so after months of umming and ahhing we finally got our first birdy baby home yesterday and need a bit of help sexing him/her! I read recessive pied birds are a bit more difficult to sex but I'm hoping you lovely people can help So, here's Kylling! (Pronounced "shilling," it's Norwegian for chicken... My son's choice... )

This is the most true to colour picture I could find but I can upload more if needed

Welcome to the forums and the ever exciting world of budgie ownership!
I'm not able to see the link showing your budgie's picture.

You can try to upload it onto Photobucket, it's free to use and all you have to do is copy and paste the image code link into your post here.

Your little one is quite young indeed and from that pic I'm seeing a bluish coloured cere with what appears to be some white around the nostril. I'm leaning towards girl, but I'm not entirely sure. If possible, post a couple more pics showing the whole beak/cere front on, instead of sideways.

Wow Emma, what a beautiful young budgie...

The more pics you can post in natural light, and as Aluz said, closeups from the front, the more sure folk's will be able to be sexing the sometimes difficult recessive pied for you...

Thanks Jonah, we went to view a yellow budgie but as soon as my boyfriend saw this one he fell in love. Now, if only I could stop him fussing so I can have a turn...

By looking at that second pic I'd say your budgie is below 2 months of age, it still has remnants of melanin on the beak. From that second photo I'm still going to say budgie girl.
My first recessive pied I got from breeding had a similar colour on her cere when she was very young and the white progressively spread on the cere as weeks went by and she got older.
I'm not seeing the translucent quality that young males have on their ceres and usually recessive pied boys have a uniform pinkish cere.
From this second photo, I'm seeing the light bluish colour mingled with white common on young budgie girls.
