Default Boy and girl?

Please help me, I want to verify from mu birds gender, the seller told me that the yellow bird is a boy and the purple one is a girl is that true

Welcome to the forums!
The yellow/green budgie is in fact a male and he is older than your other budgie.
From that photo, your violet budgie looks like a boy to me, I'm seeing an overall purplish cere. If possible post another photo of this budgie, more of a close up shot of the whole beak/cere area in order to help confirm it.

I agree with Aluz. The yellow is a boy and the blue one is also a boy. He's younger than the yellow one, I would say 5-6 months old. For this reason, his cere hasn't changed into the dark blue of the more mature yellow boy's cere yet

If you are looking to have a "mate" for them, I would get two budgie girls as then one pair will leave the other single male out.

Remember when looking for young girls that they have pale whitish-blue ceres with a chalky appearance.
