Default I don't know how to entertain Peppa anymore..

She doesn't like any toys and I bought a toy where the paper rolls and peppa can destroy but I think she was eating the paper so I took it away. IDK what to do anymore, I want my Peppa happy I don't even think she likes us anymore because one stupid friend of my parents told them that he tamed his budgie by holding the budgie and taking her out and that she will get used to it. I told my parents that it could traumatize her but they didn't believe me because "not everything on the internet is true". Also, I'm only 13 so I can't move out

EDIT: Also, I can't get her a partner.

I am sorry you are having trouble trying to get your budgie to trust you....
It takes a long time for your budgie to trust you you have to build up a bond with her.... You have to have time and patience... Some budgies don't like being held.. I had a disabled budgie he loved to be cuddled and held but he died from cancer now I have another budgie and he is totally different he doesn't like being held or cuddled he is very independent ... I am sure that your budgie likes you you just have to rebond with her again and gain her trust... Do you have a hanging toy for her to play with.... I only have one budgie as I wanted him to bond with me and teach him to talk he is happy by himself... I spend lots of time with him he is always out of the cage with me he is my best friend... But I am sure that there is someone else on here that can give you good advice... Have you tried talking to your budgie... You could put some millet in your hand to see of your budgie will come to you...How about trying to build a bond with her like having the millet for treats in your hand....

She may play with the toys when you are not watching. If she has been handled when she didn't want to be or still had fear, then she is going to be keeping an eye on people when they are present. Do you feed treat's by hand ? How about spending time just talking and trying to establish a good trusting bond. Don't get discouraged...

She doesn't like millet either. Or any vegetables or fruits. Also, she doesn't like to be touched anywhere.

Oh dear this is going to be a challenge for you... Have you tried the millet sprays... As for veggies it takes a while for them to like it. Have you tried Silver Beat a little of that. indigo loves Silver beat Carrot corn snow peas apple... But don't give your budgie avocado or onion it is not good for them..... Do you have Chick Weed that grows outside it has seeds on it I don't know if you have that weed but Indi loves it....Indi doesn't like being scratched either he only lets me kiss him on the beak when he is in the mood for scratches then I can get one in..... Maybe if you pretended to eat a piece of carrot near your budgie to see then maybe she will pick it up and want to share it as well.... I use to do that with buster my budgie I lost.... I am out of ideas maybe someone else can help with new suggestions....

I am sorry you are feeling disheartened, your budgie needs some stimulation for when you are not around. Does she like bells, perhaps you can have a small container with an assortment of toys for her to choose from. Bright coloured milk bottle lids are a favourite here, as are small balls with bells inside them. being a hen she would like shredding toys maybe you can still let her have some but take them out when you are not around.
Play some music for her, sit near her cage and read to her out loud, then place a hand inside her cage and continue to talk and read to her don't try to touch her just let her see your hand isn't dangerous. It will take time and patience but this is worth it for the joy you will get when she hops on your hand as I am sure she will one day.

Well she likes listening to someone singing (does closing her eyes and tilting her head mean that she likes it?) . But I'm not always home so that would be a problem. She doesn't like radio that much. How would I know if she is eating the shredding toys?

If you are not watching her all of the time you could set up a little video camera on her let it record her to see if she is shredding her toys or eating it.... Then you will catch her doing it in a play back.... I'm sure she will play with them. Have you got a hanging toy with a bell on the end of it she may like that.... My budgie loves me playing the keyboard...

I'm sorry to hear Peppa is bored and your bond isn't what it used to be

As long as the toy she's shredding is made of digestible plant materials (yucca, palm, etc) then it's fine if she eats a little now and then What you want to worry about are toys with undigestible fibres like cotton rope, as this can cause crop impaction.

Also, you'll have to rebuild your trust with her, and getting her used to your hand again is a good way to do that Soon she'll re-learn your bond and it will be a simpler time after that.

Hello,

Very sorry to hear that Peppa is getting a bit bored of it.

I am very sure that your budgie always loves you.

You could try searching on youtube for 'Relaxing nature noises' whilst reading a little bit of a book to try and get that trust bond feeling in her.

You could also try to cut off a nice, little, roomy (mini) tree and place it close to her cage if she isn't encouraged to come out and about a lot.

Please don't get discouraged

Good luck!
