Default Kiwi's New Thing

I have been watching Kiwi and Aztec for a while now! Yesterday Kiwi started this new thing.. tapping his? beak twice on everything! It seems as soon as I am not paying attention.. its a quick.. tap tap on the perch. When Aztec is ignoring him.. tap tap on Aztecs beak! It's actually really cute. Now I am beginning to wonder again.. maybe Kiwi is a male, I read they do this more than females.

Behavior is not an accurate means of determining gender. If you post more close-up pictures of your budgies' ceres taken in natural light I know our experts will be happy to give you their input with regard to your gender questions.

I'm sure it's very cute watching Kiwi training you and Aztec to respond to her beak tapping!
What a smart little budgie.

I cant move the cage to the window because there is no where to set it, and until they will sit on my hand and not fly at the window (Aztec did this one time..luckily our screens are on the inside so she did not hit glass) with the blinds open it will be difficult to get natural light..
