Default Mazi's gender?

I got Mazi just a few days ago after Stitches had passed away.. (not as a replacement I was going to get another budgie anyways because he seemed a bit lonely at times) I orginally thought it was a male because of the way the cere appeared in the store, now I'm thinking female.. Also, either way are females sometimes also big chirpers/singers? I thought the males sang more.. Mazi was actually singing the next morning after the night/day I got her/him. I'm not sure if he/she's just looking for the flock or not but I had originally wanted a male because of their talking/singing..

I tried taking pictures from angles that made the cere look the same in the picture as I was seeing in person but is there a certain angle I should try to get?

side note: Mazi has one of those perches with the sand on it because it's the only varied width perch I had but I'm getting more apple branches tomorrow (i threw away the ones sitches had had)

From what I can see in the photos you posted Mazi is a beautiful little girl!

I am so glad to hear you got rid of the sand perches

Mazi is adorable!

As long as you have other perches of natural wood in varying diameters, there is nothing wrong with having one of the sand perches in the cage as well. They help keep the budgie's nails trimmed down nicely. I have one in all of my cages.
